DONALD SMITHEY SCHOLARSHIP

 

The Donald Smithey Scholarship was established in 2001 to recognize Mr. Smithey’s inspiration in the creation of the Aviation Institute. The focus on aviation administration is in recognition of his extraordinary and visionary leadership as Executive Director of the Omaha Airport Authority. Our community has prospered under his direction with air service that is unparalleled in the nation by similar size communities. A $500 scholarship will be awarded. The deadline for applications to be submitted is February 29, 2008, at 4:30 p.m. to Allwine Hall 422. The scholarship recipient will be announced at the Aviation Institute Honors Convocation on April 10, 2008.
