| The LeRoy W. Homer Jr. Foundation is currently accepting applications for their aviation scholarship. Three scholarships will be awarded next spring in Homer's memory. LeRoy was the First Officer on United Airlines Flight 93, which crashed in Shanksville, Pa., on September 11, 2001. "LeRoy had a passion for flying," says Cheryl Homer Wilson, executive director of the foundation, and LeRoy's sister. "We wanted to keep his dream of flight alive, so we established this foundation." | |

| McAllister Memorial
Scholarship: March 31 One award in the amount of $1,000 will be made to a promising young man or woman who, without assistance, would find it difficult to obtain a college education. Donald Burnside Memorial Scholarship: March 31 The AOPA Air Safety Foundation/Donald Burnside Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually and administered jointly by the AOPA Air Safety Foundation and the University Aviation Association. One award in the amount of $1000 will be made to a promising young man or woman who, without assistance, would find it difficult to obtain a college education. KOCH CORPORATION SCHOLARSHIP July 31 is the application deadline for this year's Koch Corporation Scholarship, presented annually to a deserving college student. The $1,500 award is sponsored by the Koch Corporation, a Kentucky-based company specializing in noise abatement. The award is administered jointly by the AOPA Air Safety Foundation and the University Aviation Association. Applicants for the scholarship must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a nonengineering aviation degree. Other requirements include U.S. citizenship, a grade-point average of 3.25 or better on a 4.0 scale, and submission of a 500-word essay on an aviation topic. Eugene S. Kropf Scholarship: Applicant must be enrolled in a plan to continue a college curriculum leading to a two-year or four-year degree in the field of aviation. At the time of enrollment the applicant must have been enrolled in a UAA member institution in an aviation-related program. The applicant must have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The award is a $1,000 scholarship. The Joseph Frasca Excellence in Aviation Scholarship: Two $1,000 scholarships awarded at the National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA) SAFECON (national flying championships) banquet each year. Evidence of excellence in activities, studies, events, organizations, etc., related to aviation; Must have a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; Federal Aviation Administration certification/qualifications in either Aviation Maintenance or Flight; Aviation organization memberships such as Alpha ETA Rho, NIFA Fling Team, Experimental Aircraft Association, Warbirds of America, etc.; Aviation activities, projects, events, etc., which will demonstrate an interest and an enthusiasm for aviation; and Must be a junior or senior currently enrolled in a UAA member institution. Gary Kiteley Executive Director Scholarship: UAAs Executive Director of 24 years, Gary Kiteley, will award a $500 Scholarship. Must attend a UAA Member school Serving Others Scholarship: Honoring the
flight crew and passengers aboard American Airlines Flights 11 and 77 and

supporting and encouraging men and women pursuing an education and future in

EAA Aviation Achievement Scholarship Presented by EAA to deserving students active in recreational aviation endeavors. Awarded $500 to two individuals to further their aviation education or training. Herbert L. Cox Memorial Scholarship Presented by the EAA Aviation Foundation, Inc. from an endowment established in memory of Herbert L. Cox. Awarded to an individual accepted or attending a four-year accredited college or university in pursuit of a degree leading to an aviation profession. Recipient of this $500 scholarship must show need for financial support. A renewable scholarship for a student in good academic standing enrolled in an accredited college, university, or technical college pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering. Financial need is a consideration. One $1,000 scholarship. Payzer Scholarship An individual accepted or enrolled in an accredited college, university or post-secondary school with an emphasis on technical education. Awarded $5,000 to a person who is seeking a major and declares an intention to pursue a professional career in engineering, mathematics, or the physical or biological sciences. Clay Lacy Professional Pilot Scholarship Clay Lacy, through an agreement with EAA, has provided a unique opportunity for students to prepare for an aviation career with a quality education by funding the Clay Lacy Professional Pilot Scholarship. The CLAY LACY PROFESSIONAL PILOT SCHOLARSHIP will provide up to four highly qualified potential flight students with financial need the opportunity to: Attend a professional pilot program at the University of North Dakota, John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences to earn a college degree as a professional pilot and earn commercial, instrument, multi-engine and all fixed-wing flight instructor ratings. Participate in flight by living on the EAA Air Academy campus, supporting the many and varied EAA programs, activities and events. The CLAY LACY PROFESSIONAL PILOT SCHOLARSHIP provides for a substantial portion of flight related fees to a potential total of $12,500 per year. Applicants must attend UND, meet FAA criteria for licensure and must have their private pilot's license to be eligible for the scholarship. Recipients should show need for financial support. Applicants must apply for this Scholarship through the UND Odegard School of Aerospace Science. David Alan Quick Scholarship A renewable $1,000 scholarship awarded to a junior or senior in good standing, enrolled in an accredited college or university. The Applicant must be pursuing a degree in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering.

A renewable scholarship presented to students enrolled in an accredited

A.A.E. ScholarshipThis program is offered exclusively to accredited airport executive (A.A.E.) members of AAAE, their spouses and/or children. Accredited members are sent information on the program annually in the early Spring and awards are made in July. Click here for 2004 Application. A recommendation from the school is also required. Only one student from each school is eligible to participate. Multiple recommendations from the same institution will be returned. Pioneers of Flight scholarships are $1,000 for one year of full-time study. Two awards will be granted each year to students who demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in General Aviation. Meisinger, Sr. Memorial Learn to Fly Scholarship amount is $2,500 and is to be used for the express purpose of initial or primary flight training. The John E Godwin, Jr. Memorial Scholarship: Last Friday in November The annual John E. Godwin, Jr. Memorial Scholarship is $2,500 and is to be used for the express purpose of flight training for any pilot certificate and/or flight rating issued by the Federal Aviation Administration. |

| The Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) Scholarships | The Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) is offering its
scholarship applications for the 2003/2004 school years. This year the foundation has 25
awards totaling over $90,000, including the new Sporty's/Cincinnati Avionics Scholarship
for $2,000. The new award is for students who plan to or are attending an accredited school in an avionics program.
