LOIS DURHAM WOMEN IN AVIATION SCHOLARSHIP

Lois Durham served as a Women’s Airforce Service Pilot during World War II. In honor of her contribution to aviation, and her inspiration to other women, the Omaha area 99s established a scholarship in her name. In 2001, the name of the scholarship was changed to the Lois Durham Women in Aviation Scholarship. In the spirit of Mrs. Durham’s contributions, this scholarship serves to recognize the outstanding achievements of an Aviation Institute student. A minimum of $500 will be awarded. Applicants must meet the qualifications listed below. The deadline for applications to be submitted is February 29, 2008, at 4:30 p.m. to Allwine Hall 422. The scholarship recipient will be announced at the Aviation Institute Honors Convocation on April 10, 2008.
