Will Swett is a student assistant at the Aviation Institute. Will, a senior at UNO, transferred here following a tour in the USAF. While in the Air Force, he was stationed in Monterey, CA, and attended the Defense Language Institute. He learned Mandarin Chinese in preparation for his military career as a linguist. Will has a private pilot license received in 1998 from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is currently working on his instrument rating and pursuing his Bachelors Degree in Professional Flight at the UNO Aviation Institute. Will is also very active in many of the student organizations including Women in Aviation International, vice-president of the local Alpha Eta Rho chapter, and captain of the 2008 NIFA Competition Flight Team – the UNO Flying Mavs. Following graduate school, he plans to become a corporate pilot for a company near his home in New England.
