He later went on to manage a Bellevue based internet company. After his youngest of 2 daughters finished college, his burning desire was to leave the corporate world behind and enter the aviation industry full time, in his words “to make a life instead of a living”.

In addition to aviation, music has been a life long passion for Bob. He also appears in local and national television commercials, as well as radio commercials and print advertising.

When not teaching people how to fly or directing/performing with the AVI8ORS, Bob lives out his passion for WWII era aviation by flying his own 1941 J-5a Piper Cub, which first flew a mere 2 weeks before Pearl Harbor was attacked.
